Secrets......

I just spent my lunch hour reading through Post Secret and I am always moved to tears by some of the post cards. There is pain, joy, hope and love and it always seems to bring me back to center.

This one really brought it home for me after 19 years of being terribly unhappy I left. I wasted my best years or did I?

Some of the images are disturbing and but they are so truthful and why is it that they are secrets? We would rather lose our identities and our happiness than to tell the truth, why do we do that as humans? Please comment, I want to hear your thoughts.

  1. so sad... i think that most people do not have the courage to look at themselves honestly...very depressing.

  2. I think it is a fear of reaction from others, as humans we crave attention of others, we want to belong. By sharing that deep personal stuff about ourselves, that fear of others not getting it, of not talking to us, etc is brought to the front.

  3. I agree and the world would be a simpler place if we could share our fears, joys and horrors without retribution and only be given a chance to heal.
