World, meet Brutus, Brutus, meet the world.....

I do believe the girls will win some ribbons with him in 4H!Here is his litter mates and we have a runt (the black and white on her side on the right) in the group that is half the size of the others. She is worrying me so I gave her some kitten formula which she readily accepted. Hopefully we can give her a little more umph to keep up with her brothers and sisters.

There are days....

Where no matter what I do I feel like I am about to fall off the proverbial tight rope! It seems that this week has been wrought with technology challenges on a huge scale, artist submissions that I can't keep up with and much more.

Someone please tell me "Hang in there Baby"....

Along with the challenges there are always things to learn and people become appreciative of some of the struggles that one might deal with only if we communicate those challenges. I had a long talk with a CEO of a company that we deal with regularly discussing the practices of one of their employees. I got a call from that employee thanking me for bringing this to their attention and how it helped them be a better employee, wow, that was pretty cool!

Anyway, no matter the trials and tribulations, hang in there, something better is always around the corner!

Prospects

I bought this beautiful cab and it was rather expensive so I wanted to do something stellar with it. The above is a concept drawing and I believe this cab will be born into a pendant.

The cab itself will be laying sideways and then small drops of silver to the right wave and then graduated Pink Tourmaline rounds below that. There will be 3 strands of textured chain and then the right side will be rounds of Pink Tourmaline which will create an asymetric appeal to the piece.

All the metal will be Sterling Silver and I am going to start work on it tomorrow so any feedback you might be compelled to share would be delightfully received.

A True Escapist....

Being a Cancer I am prone to needing periods of escape and often those periods come when I least expect them but always when I most need them.

It is a chance to recharge the batteries and live in the now and focus on the needed only. It is a chance to tap into the creative and to learn even more about myself.

That time has arrived and I will take my adventure holding the hand of the one I love and sharing special moments with my offspring that squeal with delight when they get a Mom day.

I shall focus on the needed, the redecorating of my soul, the nourishment of a good book, the bounce in my step from beloved music, the rhythm of the universe shall be beneath my feet and I shall listen wholeheartedly and I shall learn wholeheartedly.

I will thoroughly investigate something new, unopened, virgin, mysterious and completely unknown or unseen by my eyes, hands and heart.

I will retreat to a far place of my self that is where I am comfortable, strong and at peace. I shall return stronger, I promise......

For the Love of...

The White Rose, tender, delicate and so very precious. An ode to a time gone by and beautiful in it's simplicity.

A representative of innocence, new beginnings and the counterpart to the red rose of romance. I am intrigued with roses as my Grandmother used to raise them and had several grafts that she named and became entered in the American Rose Society's registry. I wish that I could recall the names (there were 2) and one was a beautiful Apricot and the other a lavender with red tips at the petals. This is a part of my heritage that I need to look into further.

In celebration of the white rose I am going to be working on some glass ideas and trying a new techniques which will be a glass rose encapsulated in clear glass. We shall see....

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and hug someone you love!

Hope

I finally had some time to sit behind the torch yesterday and I kept pulling rods of glass in light hues of pinks and yellows. I mixed several colors to come up with the most beautiful shade of apricot, I was delighted!

I am calling this series "Landscape beads" due to the feel of the beads and this is the first of the series, may I introduce Hope.
